About Me

Welcome!

My name is Beth and I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist currently living in the sunny state of Florida!  I recently switched careers from working in a private practice to working in tele-therapy. I have enjoyed the change, I still get to do what I love, making a difference in the lives of my students, but I get to be at home with my family. I am absolutely in love with being an SLP.

I am originally from Savannah, Georgia and a graduate of Valdosta State University.  I am also a mother, wife and follower of Jesus.   I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Cooking and eating amazing food. I am a wanna be baker. I also love singing and playing the piano.

I have contemplated starting a blog to share material and ideas that work with the different populations and ages that I work with. I find that working with older students, middle and high school can be very difficult. We often need to target skills that are below their developmental level but make it interesting and engaging to them.  I always find my self balancing their maturity level, academic level and interest level to create the perfect activities to address their needs.
I started adding my activities to Teachers Pay Teachers last year.  I enjoy being able to be creative to help my students make the most gains. I love making therapy activities based on evidence, combined with what works for my students.
